Gospel Sings the Blues

Melbourne Singers of Gospel’s 26 November gala performance at the magnificent Deakin Edge, Federation Square brings you 100 voices singing the Blues. This exciting concert follows the recent launch of the choir’s album, Stand Strong, and a win at the 125th Royal South Street Society contest.

Directed by Dr. Darren Wicks, this accomplished choir will lift you with its passion, authentic Gospel vocals, dynamic choreography and elegant presentation. Melbourne Singers of Gospel will be accompanied by the cool jazz-blues sound of The Soul Train. A bar and music follow the evening show.

Melbourne Singers of Gospel

MSG is a choir of 100 voices that rehearses once a week to achieve spectacular results! The choir wants the experience of singing together to be transformative for members and audiences.

MSG sings songs of soul and purpose: songs that testify, songs that move the spirit and move the body. The choir’s home genre is gospel, but its repertoire ranges through soul, a cappella, RnB, blues, jazz, rock, folk, musical, funk and pop.

Young Voices of Melbourne

Young Voices of Melbourne was founded by Mark O’Leary in 1990, and is now regarded as one of Australia’s finest young choirs. Choir members aged 6 to 28 years rehearse weekly in one of six groups. The choir performs regularly in and around Melbourne, and tours annually. It has taken its music to all states and territories of Australia, as well as Europe (1996, 2004 & 2010), South Africa (1998), Canada/USA (2001 & 2013), Singapore - Thailand (2007), Samoa (2011) and New Zealand (2015).

Exaudi Youth Choir

Exaudi Youth Choir is a group of experienced young singers, dedicated to performing a wide range of choral music at a high level. Most singers are graduates from good children’s and school choir programs, who want to continue their choral journeys. Founded in 2007 by Claire Preston and Bob Stewart, Exaudi is now part of the Young Voices of Melbourne organization and has been conducted by Mark O’Leary since 2013.

Hand in Hand at Christmas

Presented by the School of Hard Knocks, Hand In Hand celebrates the true spirit of Christmas.
Conducted and compered by the Founding Artistic Director of the School of Hard Knocks, Dr Jonathon Welch AM, the concert will also feature two of Australia's great legends of opera, Liane Keegan and John Bolton Wood AM, both well known and loved by Melbourne audiences.

Choir Victoria is the incorporation of the Victorian Boys' Choir and Victorian Girls' Choir.

We pride ourselves on providing quality tuition at a reasonable price to allow all families to participate.

Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings, no experience is necessary. Ages range from five to 18 years.

VoiceBox is a Melbourne-based male a cappella group, formed by a small group of friends with a passion for singing. Its very wide-ranging repertoire includes everything from the popular music of The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Queen and TISM, to a variety of other styles, including sixteenth century madrigals and Gregorian chants.
