The show will be a seamless blend of gospel music, classical numbers and some well known hits from the 70s and 80s. Come along and have two of Canberra’s most highly regarded choirs take you on a musical journey through the music of Three Dog Night, Queen, Abba, David Bowie, Lauridsen and many more.

Choralfest 2017

The Australian National Choral Association's Choralfest 2017 will be held from 30 June to 3 July at Brisbane Grammar School, Spring Hill, Brisbane.

Choralfest features several festival choirs under the direction of Elise Bradley (Canada), Andre Thomas (USA), Paul Jarman, and Debra Shearer-Dirié, in partnership with the Pemulwuy Male Voice Festival. 15 guest and invited choirs will also be performing, including international choirs from Japan and New Zealand.

These concerts are part of Choralfest, Australia's national choral conducting conference.

Combined Union Concert

The Sydney Trade Union Choir will perform at the Illawarra Folk Festival in Bulli together with the Newcastle Peoples Chorus and the Illawarra Union Voices.

The concert starts at noon on Sunday 15 Jan with brackets from each choir separately ending with a bracket from all the choirs combined.

The repertoire of all choirs obviously is based on trade union values but covers social and environmental themes as well. Many songs are based on contemporary folk songs, arranged for up to four part harmony for the choirs.

East Timor book launch at Gleebooks

- Foho Ramelau (Independence struggle symbolised by mighty Mt Ramelau)
- Four Strong Women (UK women who sabotaged jets bound for war in East Timor)
