Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir

The Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir (SGLC) was established in 1991, and is one of Australia's foremost gay and lesbian choirs. SGLC regularly performs at important community events including the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival, as well as hosting two concerts of our own each year. We tour annually, sometimes internationally, sometimes interstate, sometimes locally, and we enjoy recording projects as well.

Leichhardt Espresso Chorus

LEC is a non-auditioned choir of more than 80 people based in Sydney's inner west.

As the inaugural winner of the national music in communities award, state runner up in the ABC Classic FM choir of the year competition and choir in residence for the Australian music festival Moorambilla, we are redefining the capacity of community choirs. Our activities include community workshops, our children's choir 'Espresso Kids', and many joint projects with local government and community groups from the Inner West of Sydney and beyond.

Laanysta

LAANYSTA is a community based a cappella group which pays a professional Musical Director, Rob Maxwell-Jones, to arrange and conduct music according to the group members requests. The group has been going for around 10 years. We meet every Monday night at St Johns Church Hall in Spring St, Balmain/Birchgrove. We love our music and sing mostly for our own pleasure with the occasional performance. Our musical tastes are eclectic and we sing African, Italian, French, gospel, folksy, and popular. This is a friendly group and new members are always welcome.
