Vocal Evolution

Directed by Lionel Pierson, Vocal Evolution is a world-class male vocal harmony chorus based in Perth, Western Australia that has been wowing audiences since 2002.

The group was started by a bunch of ordinary guys who wanted to produce an extraordinary sound. True to their name, the chorus has grown musically and artistically to become widely recognised as one of Australia’s best vocal harmony groups.

Academy Singers

Academy Singers aims to present quality choral concerts, both for our own community and visitors to the Blue Mountains. We are a group of 20-25 singers, rehearsing regularly at Leura and performing three or four times every year at various locations in the Blue Mountains, sometimes accompanied by local professional musicians. We also collaborate with other choirs to present larger works with Penrith Symphony Orchestra. Our Director Paul Terracini has wide experience both in Australia and overseas in orchestral and choral conducting.

Illawarra Choral Society

The Illawarra Choral Society formed in Wollongong during the 1940s. Today it has 70 members who rehearse on Monday evenings at the University of Wollongong.
We perform three major concerts during the year- Easter, Christmas and a Winter or Spring concert. Our 2013 repertoire is Mozart's Requiem (April), Handel's Messiah (7th December)and Strauss and Art songs (21st Sept) at Wollongong Town Hall.
The choir is often accompanied by sinfonia and pipe organ and we use our concerts as a platform for involving both professional performers and music students in the choral and orchestral fields.
