Under Didthul choral competition
The Rotary Club of Milton‐Ulladulla will sponsor an inaugural competition for choirs from Thursday 20th
September 2018 until Sunday 23rd September 2018, to be held in the Milton-Ulladulla area. If successful, the
event will become biannual.
A “choir” comprises not less than 10 people nor more than 50, is a capella, and completely amateur. The
number of choirs is limited to 16, on a first come basis. Entry fee is $95 per person, and $85 for early birds.

The competition will ballot choirs into pools of four for a sing-off against each of the other 3 choirs in the
pool. The two highest scores move to the next ballot and the process is repeated through at least three
phases until only two choirs remain. A team of professional judges has been engaged.
Prize money for 2018 is, $5,000 ($10,000)* for first and $2,500 ($5,000)* for the runner-up. (* only if there
are sufficient entries to cover the higher figure)
The Milton-Ulladulla district south of Sydney is a very popular holiday spot, and is full of attractions of every
description. There are ample accommodation options available ranging from camping to four/five star. The
event will segue into Escape ArtFest, which in this, its 14th year, will be better than ever.
