Singcognito formed 9 years ago with the leader being a university music student with the task of forming and leading a choir as part of her training.
That person is Sarah Stagg and we are glad to say she is still leading us today.
The name "Singcognito" came about from the fact that many of the early members(including Sarah)were very nervous about singing in public and felt they would like to be incognito, so a number of the early appearances had the members coming on stage wearing sun glasses for the first song or two.
Singcognito have performed at many charity concerts and events over the years, as well as entertaining the elderly citizens of nursing homes from time to time.
Our numbers at practices have been in the low 40's but there is a core group of about 25 to 30 members who take part in concerts.
