SCALA

SCALA is looking for a soprano, tenor and bass/baritone!

SCALA is a Melbourne-based small, un-auditioned acapella group singing in four to eight part harmony. The group has grown musically from it's humble beginnings in April 2012, and now performs a wide spectrum of music, from classical to contemporary and everything in between.

SCALA is looking for a competent soprano, tenor and bass/baritone to complete our lineup of singers, for a total of 11-12 singers in the group.

You will need to be able to either read music or learn and memorise your harmony parts of music we perform, and be willing to contribute your musical ideas to the group. Rewards for your effort will be friendships of some truly wonderful people and art we make together.

We rehearse on thursdays from 6pm in Grattan Gardens Community Centre in Prahran, just one minute walk from the corner of Chapel Street and Malvern Road.

Our current repertoire includes:
- Every Breath You Take - Sting (4 parts)
- Bogorodytse Dyevo - Sergei Rachmaninov (7 parts)
